SCADA and Control Infrastructure
The SCADA (Supervisory control and data acquisition) system is the physical core of project integration, and one of the most important components of a BESS project. As well as delivering key functions, such as the Energy Management System (EMS), a well designed SCADA efficiently facilitates all other activities, for example commissioning, O&M, operational monitoring, warranty compliance, condition monitoring and fault diagnosis.
Market-leading proprietary software
Noricore® is the brand name given to Noriker's advanced plant control software, which sits at the heart of the SCADA system. Based on a highly modular architecture, it is both adaptable and scalable. Because it is not part of an integrated BESS supply, it provides fully unified control and monitoring for the whole plant and easily incorporates bespoke elements for specific project complexities.
An independent control system enables split procurement to optimise both battery and PCS supply, and to lower EPC margin costs. Noricore layers additional protections and management onto the BMS, improving availability and is more easily upgradable over the project lifetime.
With SCADA, the project gets a truly superior service to support all interfacing, construction, commissioning, and system integration works, as well as continuous O&M services, typically earning its cost back in reduced commissioning times alone over the life of the asset.
